Datafolha poll shows Bolsonaro with 58%, Haddad with 42% as second round kicks off

The right-wing candidate loses only in the Northeast, boasting higher rates among rich and educated voters

The first Datafolha poll on the presidential elections' second round shows Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) with a comfortable lead over Fernando Haddad (PT). The right-wing candidate secures 58% of valid votes, while the former São Paulo mayor scores 42%.

The poll, which excludes void, null and undecided votes, confirms the conservative trend that almost gave a first-round victory to the PSL presidential candidate. In the first round, Bolsonaro secured 46% of valid votes, while Haddad scored 29%.
