Bolsonaro says that the opposition will be to blame if benefits for the poorest are cut

On social media, the President made a new appeal for the approval of an extra credit of R$ 248 billion.

President Jair Bolsonaro used social media again this Sunday (9) to make an appeal for the approval of an extra credit for the government of R$ 248 billion. "The opposition is working to make it impossible to pay to the beneficiaries of Bolsa Família and elderly people with disabilities, as well as the 'Plano Safra' and PRONAF. In order to reach their goals, they don't even care of harming the poorest," says the post, which has the image of federal deputy Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP).

Without the additional credit, the suspension of the benefits' payment to elderly people and to people with disabilities would become effective on June 25, Bolsonaro said in a post made on Saturday (8). Funds for programs like "Bolsa Família" would also be lacking in the coming months.
