The President Jair Bolsonaro is about to leave PSL and plans to sponsor the creation of a new party, which should be named "Alliance for Brazil"
After more than a month of confrontation with the PSL summit, Bolsonaro called a meeting for this Tuesday, 12, at Planalto Palace, with a group of deputies of the legend, in order to outline the next political steps. Of the 53 deputies of the PSL, at least 27 promise to accompany the president, but the legal team is studying alternatives so they do not lose their mandate.
The request to create a party must be filed with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) with at least 419,9 thousand signatures in nine states. In order the new acronym can participate in next year's municipal disputes, for example, all procedures must be completed by March, six months before the election.
