After the visit to Germany, João Lourenço heads to China to participate in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation

A bilateral meeting between Angolan President João Lourenço and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping is scheduled for next Sunday in Beijing, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

João Lourenço heads the Angolan high-level delegation that will participate in the 3rd Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), which will take place in the Chinese capital on September 3 and 4. To prepare for the visit of the Angolan President, Foreign Affairs Minister Manuel Augusto is going to travel to Beijing today, according to a ministerial department statement.

On Monday, the head of Angolan diplomacy is attending the opening ceremony of the High Level Dialogue between Chinese and African leaders. On the same day, Manuel Augusto attends the sixth China-Africa Business Conference, taking place at the local National Convention Center, on the sidelines of FOCAC.
