Antram spokesman André Matias de Almeida accuses the National Union of Hazardous Drivers (SNMMP) of refusing the mediation process, although the bosses are available to discuss "almost everything".
"We left a document here in the morning where we opened almost everything to mediation. We have now been called to the Ministry of Infrastructures to be informed that the union does not accept mediation and wants to impose wage increases and overtime pay, and this is not a mediation process," said the National Association of Public Road Hauliers (Antram) to journalists.
Then the attorney for the National Union of Dangerous Goods Drivers (SNMMP), Pedro Pardal Henriques, said Antram "did not want to avoid a possible strike for 50 euros."
