On Tuesday the French President, Emmanuel Macron, urged China to consolidate the opening of its large market to foreign companies and to cooperate with Europe in the fight against unilateral temptations in a time of tensions in trade.
"We need a greater openness of China and its market", said the French President during the opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo.
Macron has noted many advances done in recent years, including tariff cuts and reforms in the financial sector. "But we ask for its consolidation and deepening," he added.
