Illegal Chinese casino closed and 11 million kwanzas confiscated

A process of regularization of gambling houses in Angola is under way

In a situation where 13 gaming rooms in the Angolan capital are being formed, this year alone the Atlântico casino was closed

The Ministry of Finance, through the Games Supervision Institute (ISJ), confiscated, to the State, 11,821,850 Kwanzas from the "Fortuna ou Azar" gaming room of the company Long Cheng Hui Suo on Wednesday. The company was operating illegally since July of this year at the "Cidade da China" mall in Luanda.

In a statement to ANGOP, a source from the Games Supervision Institute said that the room was installed in a one-story building with a guest-house, a bar and other services and was closed by ISJ in an action taken by personnel of the National Police, the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) and the Firefighters.

The closing action also resulted in the seizure of 291,000 USD and material such as pocket gaming tables, Russian roulette, computers, the surveillance room server, tokens and dozens of card decks.
