Africa seeks sustainable energy alternatives

Mozambique and Guinea have plans to make production more sustainable, they said at the Africa Energy Forum.

A greater focus on renewable energy is the path that Mozambique intends to follow to produce more energy without resorting to the Cahora Bassa dam. Cesar Machava, administrator of Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Plant (HCB), told Lusa that the Mozambican company intends to identify alternatives to the dam that fuels the project, given the importance for sustainability.
