Inflation in Argentina may reach 30%, says Macri

Macri says removing subsidies is part of a strategy to slowly lower public spending

President of the country says that this value is due to removing subsidies from the Kirchner era

Argentina's president, Mauricio Macri, said, on Tuesday (31), that the annual inflation in the country could reach 30% - it is currently at 18%. Macri said that further increases in water, electricity, public transport and fuel bills are necessary to remove Kirchner era (2003-2015) subsidies, as the government has been gradually doing since December 2015.
