China wants more cooperation with the BRICS due to tensions with the US

China defended this Friday (13) the increasing of cooperation with the emerging countries which belong to the BRICS, in order to strengthen further ties in a context of growing economic and trade frictions with the United States.

The Asian giant will strengthen the coordination of macroeconomic policies with the BRICS (acronym formed by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in response to the "challenges that represent changes in the policies of some developed countries", said the Chinese Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zhang Jun, especially in relation to the United States.

This week, the United States' government has taken a further step in its trade war with China by announcing that it is establishing a $ 200 billion list of Chinese products to which it will impose supplementary tariffs.
