The chairman of the board of supervisors of the Bank of China said today that the bank wants to open branches in all Portuguese-speaking countries, adding that this financial institution has a global character.

"We will be happy to open branches in Portuguese-speaking countries," Wang Xiquan said during the closing address at the International 'Belt and Road' Communication and Financial Cooperation Seminar, which ended today in Lisbon.

According to the chairman of the board of supervisors of the Bank of China, this organization will be "a bridge for communication between China and Portuguese-speaking countries," facilitating their entry into China and helping "develop cooperation in these countries."

"The Bank of China is a global bank that aims to provide services and cooperate with governments around the world, and we would like to have more and more economic and financial exchanges so that we can be of service," he said.
