Banco Sino-Atlântico's authorization request yet to be analyzed due to incompleteness

The authorization request from Banco Sino-Atlântico, owned by Macau businessman David Chow, is yet to be analyzed because it is incomplete, the Cape Verde central bank (BCV) said on Tuesday.

The Cape Verde central bank (BCV) reacted to the news that "the BCV is now an insurmountable obstacle to the creation of Banco Sino-Atlântico."

"Contrary to what the news report says, Banco Sino-Atlântico's authorization request is incomplete, that is, it does not contain all the legally required elements, which has prevented the BCV from analyzing it and issuing the corresponding decision," the BCV press release reads.
