Ranking 13th, this is the first time that the Portuguese airline has been included in this Top 20.

The specialized website AirlineRatings announced its traditional ranking of the 20 safest airlines for 2020, and not surprisingly, the Australian airline Qantas was in the lead.

The last fatal accident involving the nearly century-old Qantas occurred in 1951, when three people died after a plane crash in Papua New Guinea. Since then, the company has faced incidents, but none of them with victims.

Last month, Qantas announced the choice of the Airbus A350 as the aircraft that will make the long-haul flights from Sydney to London and to New York that the company plans to start from 2022. Guilherme The decision was another bad news for Boeing, which was in the match with the new generation of the 777.
