About 400 buyers and sellers from 25 countries will take part in business rounds until Friday (November 9).
In São Paulo, at the Club Homs hall, one could hear a mixture of Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Italian. Some people were carrying fashion accessories, while others brought business brochures and business cards to keep in touch with new acquaintances.
All this because until next Friday (November 9), about 400 buyers and sellers from 25 countries, operating in 10 different areas of the so-called creative economy, will take part in business rounds at the Brazilian Creative Industries Market (MicBR), a creative economy mega-event held by the Ministry of Culture (MinC) and Apex-Brasil. Over $10 million are expected to be invested until Friday.
Held by the Ministry of Culture (MinC) and the Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brasil), the Brazilian Creative Industries Market (MicBR) takes place until November 11 in São Paulo. Consisting of training activities, business rounds and artistic/commercial pitches, the mega-event gathers thousands of entrepreneurs from Brazil and seven other South American countries, as well as approximately 30,000 'lay' visitors. The event focuses on 10 cultural production areas: performing arts, audiovisual, animation and electronic games, design, fashion, publishing, music, museums and heritage, visual arts, and gastronomy.
