EDP Renováveis enters the Brazilian solar energy market

President of the EDP group considers that the 15 year contract is the "proof of the importance of Brazil in the strategy" of the company.

EDP Renováveis (EDPR) has just entered the solar energy market in Brazil. "EDPR, through its subsidiary EDP Renováveis Brasil, SA, has secured a 15-year private contract for the sale of the electricity to be generated by the photovoltaic solar park Pereira Barreto," the statement sent to the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission said.
