230 million dollars investment will create 7000 jobs

The Commercial Agriculture Development Project launched on Wednesday, December 5, in Luanda, by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, will create 150 medium-sized companies and 7,000 direct jobs, 2,500 of which are reserved for women, Carlos Alberto Jaime, the secretary of State of Agriculture and Forestry, announced.

The person responsible, speaking at the launching ceremony, said that the $230 million project provides $100,000 worth of credit for each company.

Scheduled to run in six years, according to the project implementation schedule, the first phase is valued at $55 million and includes, among other actions, market research, public outreach, communications and staff training.

For the second stage, US $100 million is reserved for the creation and development of public infrastructures in the areas where the projects will be implemented.
