Last year revenues fell more than 1% to just 315 million. Tenders for Estoril and Figueira da Foz zones about to be launched.
The eleven Portuguese casinos generated a gross gambling revenue of 315,2 million last year, less 1.1% than in 2018. This decrease mainly reflects the negative performances of the casinos of Estoril, Lisboa and Espinho, the largest in the country.
The continued growth of the state games, with a focus on scratch cards, and online gaming is hurting the casino operators at a time where public tenders for the Estoril and Figueira da Foz gaming areas are about to be launched. The deadlines expire later this year.
