Cape Verde wants to be one of the most business-friendly countries in the world

Presented yesterday (Jan 30) in Praia by the Cape Verde government, the 'Doing Business' Action Plan aims to make the archipelago one of the 50 most business-friendly countries in the world and to rank 95th as soon as 2021, local media outlets reported.

The plan - to be implemented in partnership with the UN - was presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Olavo Correia and has an estimated cost of €7 million, with €2 million coming from the 2020 State Budget and the remaining €5 million from the European Union, Inforpress reports.

Olavo Correia said that making Cape Verde one of the 50 most business-friendly countries in the world - it is currently ranked number 137 - is a decisive plan that requires everyone's commitment.
