These countries follow different calendars and do not celebrate New Year's Eve on December 31rst

The countries that said hello to 2019 on Tuesday (January 1st) use the Gregorian calendar, which is based on the solar cycle to determine the number of days in a year and was promulgated in 1582 by Pope Gregory the 13th.

But there are countries that follow other calendar systems and, therefore, are in different years: while North Korea is still in 108, the Jewish calendar (one of those adopted by Israel) is already in the year 5779.
