Update WhatsApp. Attack on application gave access to hackers

An Israeli company has developed a "spyware" for WhatsApp, which makes it possible, with a phone call, to access all the data on a mobile phone. The application recommends that you upgrade the system.

With a simple phone call, you can activate your phone's camera and microphone, read emails and messages, collect location data or history. A group of hackers have been able to remotely install surveillance software on mobile phones and other devices from exploiting a major vulnerability in the WhatsApp application.

Facebook's WhatsApp revealed that the attack targeted a "select number" of users, and was orchestrated by "an advanced cyber agent," according to the BBC.
