Over $2 million stolen from Daddy Yankee in Spanish hotel

Puerto Rican singer Daddy Yankee was robbed on Tuesday night while staying at a hotel in downtown Valencia, Spain. The artist lost about $2 million in jewelry and $2,500 in cash.

The composer was not at the hotel when the robbery took place and only realized that his valuables were gone when he came back to his room. He then called one of the hotel employees to report the incident and asked him to call the authorities so he could file a complaint.

According to Spanish press reports today, a man pretending to be Daddy Yankee asked one of the hotel employees to open the safe where the 'reggaeton' star's valuables were kept. With apparent ease, the robber managed to escape without leaving any trace.
