"Doing good" should become a long-term trend, said George Clooney's wife during a conference

Companies need to put respect for human rights at the heart of their business, and "doing good" should become a long-term trend if companies see it as a way to profit, Amal Clooney, an international human rights lawyer, said this week.

Clooney said companies are required to respond "in real time" to occurrences involving human rights violations, and are increasingly held accountable for such matters.
