Antarctica logs highest temperature on record

The Argentinian Esperanza base has logged a record high temperature of 18.3ºC, breaking the previous 2015 record of 17.5ºC.

A research base in Antarctica has recorded the highest temperature in the continent's history amid concerns about global warming, which has been accelerating the melting of ice sheets in the South Pole.
