The Louvre Museum in France may hand over pieces from its Egyptian collection to the National Museum in Rio which was destroyed by a fire in September
The director of the Brazilian institution, Alexander Kellner, met on Tuesday, 4 in Paris with the president of the French museum, Jean-Luc Martinez, from whom he heard the promise of the long-term loan of pieces.
"He was very interested in the museum situation and promised to pay us a visit next year. He is very interested in knowing how the reconstruction of the National Museum is going, "Kellner said. "And once we're ready, he's already waved at the prospect of borrowing long-term Louvre material. We're very excited about that. "
