Admissions sold out for swimming pool created by Joana Vasconcelos in Scotland

The pool was created by the Portuguese artist in Edinburgh and will be inaugurated on Saturday.

The nine-meter long swimming pool will be open to the public from 29 July to 9 August at the Edinburgh Art Festival, which runs until the end of September, and was a special commission from the Jupiter Artland Foundation.

Entitled ' Gateway', this is a permanent artistic installation at the Scottish Foundation's sculpture park, and is lined with 11,400 tiles, all hand-made and hand-painted at the Viúva Lamego factory, in Portugal.
