"Orphans of the Earth" wins Rose d'Or prize in London

Globo soap opera competed with productions from the United Kingdom and Belgium.

The soap opera "Orphans of the Earth", which aired on Globo between April and September this year, was awarded at the Rose D "Or Awards 2019 this Sunday (1st), in London. The production won the category "Soaps or Telenovelas" ("Telenovelas"), in which it competed with productions from Portugal, the United Kingdom and Belgium. Rose D"Or is one of the most important entertainment awards and has been going on for 58 years.

"We are very happy to receive this important recognition, which is Rose D"Or. Our desire for "Orphans of the Earth" was to shed light on stories for a world with fewer wars, walls and narrow boundaries, and more empathy, compassion and love. A world in which everyone can be children of our great "real" nation: Planet Earth, "thanked Thelma Guedes and Duca Rachid, directors of the novel.
