The Portuguese soap opera 'Ouro Verde', produced by Plural for TVI, was voted Best Soap Opera at the International Emmy Awards in New York earlier this morning.
"We won! The Emmy is ours! Another one for Portugal," an ecstatic Maria João Costa said on Instagram.
Last night [early hours of Tuesday in Portugal], the screenwriter shared the award with Media Capital's entertainment consultant José Eduardo Moniz, the project's director Hugo Sousa, and the actress Joana Verona, who starred in the soap opera alongside Diogo Morgado.
