The eighth season of "Arrow", which was announced in January this year, will be the last of the series and will have only ten episodes. The information was confirmed to the magazine "Variety" on Wednesday, 6.
"This was a difficult decision, but like all the tough decisions we've made over the past seven years, that was Arrow' s best interests in mind," the executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz said in a statement.
"We are excited by the fact that Arrow has given rise to an entire universe that will continue for many years to come. We're excited to come up with an ending that honors the show, its characters and legacy, and is grateful to all the writers, producers, actors and - most importantly - to the incredible team that has supported us and the show for more than seven years." Arrow was released on The CW in 2012 and stills one of the television shows with the largest audience.
