The mood behind the scenes at Globo remains tense. Last Friday (8), the broadcaster released a new management and production model that will take effect in January.
With this new "One Globo" project, officials estimate that "merger" will cause 2500 layoffs. The information was released by journalist Daniel Castro, from Notícias da TV.
The number was obtained by the news site through sources that had access to inside information about Globo's restructuring process.
In contact made by TV News, Globo denies that the cut is 2500 vacancies, but admits that there will be even more layoffs.
