The lending agreement of the property, which belongs to the Padre Anchieta Foundation, is in force until 2021
The Secretary for Culture and the Creative Economy of the State, Sérgio Sá Leitão, said on Saturday (2nd) that the Brazilian House Museum will not be closed. The property that the museum occupies belongs to the Padre Anchieta Foundation, also from the State, and was loaned for 50 years in 1971.
"A Folha" published a report about the end of the agreement after the president of the Padre Anchieta Foundation, Roberto Maluf, stated that he would ask the property back. Up to Friday (1st), the secretary had not mentioned any change in this scenario.
