Unlike the version of 'O Rei da Vela' staged by Teatro Oficina in 2017, this new version of 'Roda Viva' is not a remake of the 1968 play. This is a new show which takes its inspiration from the indomitable spirit of that period to talk about the present.
Zé Celso Martinez Corrêa places Jair Bolsonaro at the center of the musical, which was written by Chico Buarque half a century ago and focuses on the rise and fall of an idol, singer Benedito Silva (now played by Roderick Himeros).
