The Vatican leader changed the designation of the collection of documents, manuscripts and papyrus.

Pope Francis said this Monday that the Vatican Secret Archive is not that secret after all and changed its name to "Vatican Apostolic Archive".

Francis officially changed the name of the Holy See's archive today to remove what he said were "negative" connotations of having "secrets" in his name.
