The 50th anniversary edition of the legendary Woodstock festival has been officially canceled. According to a publication of the American magazine Variety, investors and service providers were informed on Wednesday that the event will not happen.

The Woodstock 50, as it was being called, has been facing financial and authorization problems for months, and yet it was set for the next 16 and 18 - five-year celebration dates of the original Woodstock.
