The rapper is in Angola for the third time to perform this Saturday as the festival's headliner at Oktoberfest.
Brazilian rapper, songwriter and author Gabriel O Pensador is in Luanda and said that music is an important revolutionary tool in today's Brazilian political context. According to him, music has been empowering people and forcing many others to reflect on the various changes that have been sweeping Brazil. Pensador has always seen music as a protest tool, but it was rap - instinctively, as he says - that caught his attention, both because it has a very powerful language and because it gave him the freedom to write straightforward lyrics.
