The Portuguese Embassy in Brasília and the Camões Institute, in collaboration with Turismo de Portugal, started this Monday the first edition of the event "Brasília ENCONTRA Portugal," which will last until November 16.
The Portuguese embassy in Brasilia opens its doors to the public in a multidisciplinary program conceived around four axis: Design, Culture, Tourism and Gastronomy. According to the Portuguese ambassador in Brazil, Jorge Cabral, this program aims to provide a privileged space for rapprochement and rediscovery between the two countries in a transatlantic dialogue.
"It is a way to cheer for those who usually go, those who are already in Portugal and those who would like to return, and we would like it very much if they did. Therefore, they have the opportunity to have a rapprochement, here in Brasilia. It is also a way to publicize the country to those who have never been here but dream of doing so,"said the diplomat.
