Although "Temporada" is not a film that deals explicitly with themes such as racism and feminism, the issues appear implicitly and naturally in the daily lives of the characters, whose lives circulate around the periphery of the municipality of Contagem, in the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte (MG).

In the film, which was the great winner of the last Brasilia Film Festival, the leading actress Juliana, played by actress Grace Passô, is abandoned by her husband after an unexpected abortion.
