A Ukrainian army report accuses Russia of burying victims of the floods caused by the destruction of the dam at the Kakhovka hydroelectric plant in Kherson province in mass graves.
“The command of the Russian occupation forces took the decision to bury the dead in mass graves without taking DNA samples and without placing any sign on the grave site,” noted a military report published on Wednesday night by the General Staff of the Russian Federation. Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the document, authorities in the Russian-controlled territory sent municipal officials to search for the dead in homes and infrastructure affected by the flood.
“As a result of search and recovery work, more than 60 bodies were found on June 24 and 25 of this year alone,” revealed the Ukrainian army.
