One in five cities in Brazil has accelerated growth of Covid-19 cases

Among the 27 capitals, 20 have seen the number of new registrations increase significantly

With four months since the first Covid-19 case was registered, to be completed this Thursday (25), 1 in every five cities in the country still registers an accelerated growth of cases of the new coronavirus. In just 3% the spread of the disease begins to regress.

Among the 27 capitals, 20 have seen the number of new registrations increase rapidly, at a time when mayors and governors have eased measures that provide for social isolation and closing trade. Only one, Recife, is in the process of decelerating the disease.
